A 52-year-old man was transferred to our hospital, because he had lower abdominal pain and the barium enema revealed a tumor about 4cm in diameter intussuscepted to his transverse colon in the different hospital.<br> Colonic endoscopic examination revealed a tumor which had a surface combined with almost noraml mucosa and severe erosive changes like a map and the tumor drew the oral mucosa. Biopsy specimens pointed out only necrotic tissue. Ultrasonographic examination revealed multiple concentric ring sign and an echogenic tumor with homogeneous density. CT examination also revealed multiple concentric ring sign and a tumor with low-attenuation shadow similar to lipid tissue.<br> Accordig to these examinations we diagnosised intussusception associated with colonic lipoma. We had done partial transverse cololectomy. The pathological examination of the operative specimen revealed lipoma. The majority of the tumor surface was composed of necrotic mucosa. We considered that the endoscopic view was specific, bacause the surface of the tumor falled into the circulatory disturbanse due to the physical injury associated intussusception.
