Abstract
To appear characteristic of bicycle accidents on intersection, analyses concerning relative position of bicycle and car have been carried out. So all bicycle accidents occurred at Tokatsu District in Chiba Pref. were extracted. To utilize latitude and longitude of accident spot, vehicle travel direction, vehicle turning direction and accident type, relative positions and keeping lanes of car and bicycle on accident spots were estimated.<br>Types of these accidents depend on installation of signal, accidents of right or left turning car with bicycle which is running parallel to car tended to occur more on signalized intersection. Bicycle accidents on unsignalized intersection were analyzed, accidents of car with bicycle which is running on near side of crossing road tended to occur more. On nighttime, running cars tended to crash with bicycles which run from opposite side of crossing cars.
