Abstract

地震動の累積パワーに基づくSR(Significant/Relative)継続時間は、振幅レベルを問わず算出できる代表的な経時特性指標である。本研究では1996~2013年の間に日本列島周辺で発生した主要35地震(内陸地殻内・プレート境界・プレート内地震)の延べ約1万点の強震記録を用いて、計測震度算出用の補正加速度の3成分ベクトル合成波形を算出し、累積パワー5~95%、5~75%、75~95%に相当するSR継続時間<i>D</i><sub>5-95</sub>, <i>D</i><sub>5-75</sub>, <i>D</i><sub>75-95</sub>を算出した。これに基づいて計測震度の距離減衰式に準じた説明変数および関数形を用いてSR継続時間の予測式を構築した。また、既往の予測式との比較を通じて、提案式の特徴について考察した。提案式は<i>M<sub>w</sub></i>=5~9のあらゆる地震タイプに適用可能な汎用的な予測式となっている。

Significant duration is a frequently-used duration index based on the time history of accumulated power of ground motions normalized to the total power. In this study, significant durations, <i>D</i><sub>5-95</sub>, <i>D</i><sub>5-75</sub> and <i>D</i><sub>75-95</sub>, defined for 5-95%, 5-75% and 75-95% of accumulated power, respectively, are evaluated for approximately 10,000 records of strong motions observed in major 35 earthquakes with <i>M<sub>w</sub></i>=5.0-9.0 which occurred from 1996 through 2013 in Japan. Accumulated power is calculated as Euclidean norm of the three components of acceleration processed with the frequency-domain filter used for calculation of JMA seismic intensity. On this basis, empirical equations for prediction of <i>D</i><sub>5-95</sub>, <i>D</i><sub>5-75</sub> and <i>D</i><sub>75-95</sub> are developed as functions of such factors that are commonly employed for ground motion prediction equations. Proposed models are compared with existing ones, and the advantages of this study are addressed.
