Free-Rider Interrelationship between First Movers and Late Movers: A Reexamination of First-Mover Advantages

抄録

This paper analyzes the digital photo printing business by introducing a continuous time axis and wide−angled perspectives. While previous studies on first−mover and late−mover advantages only stressed the single aspect of late movers free riding against first movers, we explores another side: a reversed relationship between first movers and late movers based on an in−depth case analysis. Such a relationship between first movers and late movers can be observed when a new business emerges.
