Approaches to Hysteresis of Transport Relations in Toroidal Plasmas

Abstract

<p>In this overview, we explain methods to identify hysteresis in the gradient-flux relation for energy transport in a core plasma, which is revealed by a power modulation experiment. Two approaches to experimentally observe the hysteresis relation are discussed in detail. Advanced data analysis methods are also illustrated. A theoretical analysis of the process that couples heat to turbulence is also addressed.</p>
