The purpose of this study is to evaluate the performance of RC bridge deck retrofitted by partial depth repair using shrinkage-compensated ultra rapid hardening steel fiber reinforced concrete. Firstly, the permeability of this concrete for chloride ion is investigated. Secondly, the fatigue durability of an RC deck specimen retrofitted by partial depth repair using this material is evaluated by cyclic wheel load machine. Finally, the repair effect by the partial depth repair method suggested in this study is evaluated by 3D non-linear FEM. The results of this study reveal that the concrete has superior performance as a material resisting to chloride ion penetration, and the RC bridge deck retrofitted by the partial depth repair using this material shows tremendous performance for fatigue durability.
