Abstract

When the governing equation for generalized two-dimensional fluids in wavenumber space is truncated at a wavenumber, k_c, the effect of the truncation on the dynamics of the modes with smaller wavenumbers than k_c is investigated theoretically and numerically from the standpoint of the eddy viscosity.
