Abstract
<p>Semiconductor lasers are compact and lightweight compared with other lasers, and are suitable for medical laser devices. Application of semiconductor lasers for photodynamic therapy is highly expected. In this paper, basics of semiconductor lasers and specifications of semiconductor laser devices domestically approved for photodynamic therapies are reviewed.</p>
