抄録

This study analyzes the correlation that exists between urban form and energy usage in buildings. We first classified Osaka City into 13 district categories and selected a representative district for each category. We then surveyed difference among the representative districts in terms of building density, size, shape and usage of buildings. We estimated how much and what kind of energy saving measures and heat source technologies are installed in each districts. We also estimated annual end-use of energy consumption, peak electricity demand, CO_2 emission, sensible and latent waste heat release, in order to identify how urban form influences the characteristics of energy usage in buildings quantitatively.
