Cogeneration system (CGS) is expected as a good energy distribution system for energy conservation and environment. In addition, CGS coupling with thermal energy storage (TES) is considered as a more economic system than CGS without TES. This study proposes a CGS air-conditioning system with TES tank consisting of a gas engine, absorption chillers and turbo chillers. In previous study, it was found that the energy consumption in pumps and fans, number of chillers, and the operating method of CGS coupling with TES can be the great factors to define the performance of a system. This paper shows the effect of cooling load characteristics on the performance of CGS coupling with TES.
