Abstract

<p> 本総説は,水文・水資源学に関連する地表水流れの数値解析技術を学際的に俯瞰し,それらの特徴や現状の課題の共通点・相違点についてとりまとめることにより,総合的な理解の深化,分野横断型研究の促進を目指すものである.各章では,常射流混在流れの数値解析,降雨流出・洪水氾濫解析,農村地域の排水解析,土石流シミュレーション,全球河川モデルを対象に,各分野の地表水流れの数理モデルや数値解析技術の特徴について,他分野との共通点・相違点にも触れながら概説する.さらに,各分野の研究の最前線や残されている未解決問題,その解決へ向けた展望も紹介する.最後に,地表水流れの数理モデルと数値計算に関する数理科学の面からみた特徴と課題について解説する.</p>

<p> This article presents a review of characteristics and challenges of numerical techniques used for surface water flow analysis from an interdisciplinary view related to hydrology and water resources. The article provides a comprehensive perspective of numerical analysis to promote collaborative studies of surface water flow. Each chapter explains characteristics of mathematical models and numerical analysis techniques used for various types of surface water flow. The techniques are mutually compared: mixed flow of sub-critical and super-critical flows, rainfall runoff and flood inundation in watershed, drainage analysis in rural areas, numerical simulation of debris flow, and modeling of global surface water dynamics. Furthermore, the state of the art in each study discipline, unresolved difficulties, and prospects of their approaches are introduced. Finally, characteristics and issues related to mathematical models and numerical analyses of surface water flows are discussed from a mathematical science perspective.</p>
