Abstract

開放性沿岸域である鹿島灘・九十九里浜沿岸海域において,流動特性・物理環境特性を把握するために,超音波多層流速計・水温塩分計を用いた係留系観測および多項目水質計を用いた鉛直断面観測の現地観測結果と,Princeton Ocean Modelをベースとした数値計算結果を比較することにより,数値モデルの再現性について検討を行った.計算結果は,潮汐による水位変動,低気圧の通過に伴う流速の増大や観測前半の水温・塩分変動など観測結果を比較的良好に再現していた.また,北寄りの風が強化されることで南向きの流れが卓越し,利根川由来の低塩分水が犬吠埼を回り込むように九十九里浜沿岸に波及することが示唆された.一方,観測期間中,水温・塩分の上昇から,暖水が沿岸域へ張り出す暖水舌が形成されていたことが確認されたが,計算では再現されなかった.

 To understand the characteristics of the current fields off the Kashima-Nada and Kujukuri coast, we investigated the reproducibility of the numerical ocean model that based on the Princeton Ocean Model by compared with result of field observation. The model performed well in terms of sea level fluctuation, increase in velocity caused by a rapidly-developed low pressure and some of changes of water temperature and salinity in the first half of observation period. The model suggests that the low salinity water which originates from the Tone River flows into the coastal zone of Kujukuri by south-facing flow accompanying the strengthening of the north wind. Although we confirmed that warm water flow into the coastal zone of Kashima-Nada at a part of period, the model performed not well.
