<p>In the field of regenerative medicine, cell processing operation mostly depends on manpower. The operation requires a large amount of labor and cost, and its efficiency is desired to be improved. Recently, automatic cell culture apparatus equipped with a vertical articulated robot have been proposed. However, automating all tasks complicates the system constitution. The purpose of this study is to develop a simple and rational cell processing system by combining tasks of a robot and a human. In this paper, focusing on a media change process, we show a system concept of cell culture processing and results of an efficiency improvement of discarding task of spent culture media in a flask using a robot arm.</p>
