<p>We present an energy-efficient data logger for recording animal behaviors via a camera and sensors, namely bio-logging. The camera that is more energy-consuming than any other modules is equipped for recording particular behaviors, and can be turned off while the animal takes the other behaviors. Our event-driven logger detects the animal behavior as an event based on sensor data, and activates the camera when the particular behavior is detected. The event detection model is obtained by machine learning based on sensor data annotated with behavior labels. We review machine learning methods that can detect the particular event with small computational complexity by a microcontroller.</p>
