Abstract
The transportation demand has increased in a lot of routes of the expressway bus during the decreasing tendency of the user of the local bus. The environment that surrounds the expressway bus market has changed greatly by deregulation, the infrastructure development, and development of another transport mode. The demand of daytime-bus has increased and demand has increased as a whole, though nightly-bus is abolished due to reducing travel time by development of the expressway. Because the purpose of use is different, the influence of the Shinkansen development on the expressway bus is limited. A lot of routes were newly established between major city and peripheral city of major city as a tendency before and behind deregulation about the route with high demand. The tendency to the price decrease of the expressway bus was seen by the influence of the tour bus.
