Abstract

大規模小売店舗の立地が地域に及ぼす影響については,中心市街地衰退や立地に伴う交通流の変化,あるいは地域経済や景観への影響などが指摘されているものの,当該地域との接触機会や地域愛着に大店立地が及ぼす影響については,その検証が十分になされているとは言い難い.本研究では,大規模小売店舗の新規開店前後2回の質問紙調査を実施し,得られたパネルデータを用いて大店の立地が訪問店舗の特性やといった消費行動,及び地域愛着へ及ぼす影響について分析を行った.その結果,大店立地前後で小規模店舗や商店街,百貨店の利用頻度及び支出額の減少が示され,地域愛着にも影響が及ぼされる可能性が示唆された.

 This study focused on the effect of large scale retail shops on shopping behavior and place attachment. Place attachment would affect people's attitude toward community activity and public behavior that may have substantial effects on the content of public works. In spite of such importance, influence for place attachment has not yet well studied in planning of public works. We conducted survey in two Japanese local cities, when before and after opening of large scale retail shops. The result implied that the large scale store affect shopping frequency at other small scale shops and department store, and place attachment.
