Abstract

Nutient is transported from a natural river basin to the ocean as particulate organic matters. On the other hand, nutrient is restored from the ocean to a river basin through run-up salmon that was captured by bears and eagles. Although there are some methods to evaluate mass transport, it is necessary to develop a new method for estimating mass transport from a river basin to the ocean accurately. This study thus aims to evaluate mass transport and nutrient restration between a river basin and the ocean. The Bayesian method was applied into the multiple regression analysis by using the fluorescent X ray analysis. As a result, it is demonstated that the proposed method was applied for evaluating fine sediment transport successfully by making comparisons with the other method, a neural network method.
