Abstract

In this study, the influence of reinforcement fiber on joining strength was investigated in joining resin and aluminum plate with uneven surface by injection molding. As a result of compression of joining strength between normal resin and fiber reinforced resin, the fiber reinforced resin increased the joining strength with aluminum plate. In addition, it was shown that the long fiber resin improved joining strength more than short fiber resin. However, from the result of visualization experiment, the long fiber did not flow into the uneven parts of the aluminum plate surface. The relationship between joining strength and joining area by changing holding pressure conditions was investigated. As a result, there was found to be a good correlation. From this result, it has been found that the joining area is a control factor for determining the joining strength of injection molded parts joined with aluminum plate. Also it was inferred that the cause of enhancement of joining strength is reduced in molding shrinkage by reinforcement fiber in the short fiber resin. And in the long fiber resin, the long fiber did not flow into the uneven parts of aluminum plate surface, it was inferred that the joining strength is improved due to reduced shrinkage by the long fiber.
