Abstract

This study aimed to compare and clarify the factors which enhance capabilities of projectmanagers in different stages of career development. Multi‐group analysis of covariance structuremodeling were conducted by executing questionnaire survey among three groups of project managersin different career levels: entry-level, mid-level, and senior-level. The research reached the followingconclusions. The behavior characteristics of mid-level project managers were influenced by experi-ences of being praised. The behaviors characteristics of senior level project managers were influencedby experiences of challenging work environments. These three groups were heavily influenced byexecuting experimental learning. The behavior characteristics of these three groups were influencedby experiences of challenging work environments and interacting with people outside workplacesthrough executing experimental learning.
