• An Empirical Analysis of Characteristics that Affect Data Utilization Behavior

Abstract

In this paper, we examine the utilization of internal and external data by an empirical analysis. Based on an analysis of descriptive statistics, the results show that the rate of the internal data utilization remained at 36% and that the rate of the external data utilization remained at 19%. Furthermore, on the basis of the econometric analysis, the following elements are considered to be effective as advanced strategies of the internal and external data utilization:“ management learning about data utilization,” “placing younger people as representatives,” “expanding the scale of the company,”“ encouraging voluntary participation of employees and making rational management” and“ making a compulsory and feudal organization and executing data utilization top-down.”
