Abstract
After the Great Hanshin earthquake, the robustness of traffic network has been discussed as an important element to keep our society safe. In this paper, we construct a new model to evaluate the robustness of traffic network focusing on the spatial relationship between multiple routes. In our model, the robustness is defined as an expected value of inclusive value for remained multiple routes against randomly occurred disaster. This study enables us to calculate the robustness quantitatively, and it will be an index on urban disaster prevention. The main knowledge gained through analysis are as follows; (i) when considering spider-web traffic network, the hab node contributes greater when the network becomes smaller; (ii) robustness is also affected by the size relationship between the damage and the city block.
