Abstract

CO<sub>2</sub>からのメタノール合成反応の初期反応過程はEley-Rideal型機構を経由するフォルメート(HCOO)生成反応である。我々は原子状水素を吸着させたCu触媒に並進、振動エネルギーを制御したCO<sub>2</sub>分子線を照射してフォルメート生成実験を行った。この結果、CO<sub>2</sub>の振動エネルギーが並進エネルギーよりも効率的に反応を促進することがわかった。

The initial reaction process of the methanol synthesis reaction from CO<sub>2</sub> is a formate (HCOO) formation reaction via the Eley-Rideal type mechanism. We conducted a formate generation experiment by irradiating CO<sub>2</sub> molecular beam which controlled translation and vibration energy to Cu catalyst which adsorbed atomic hydrogen. As a result, it was found that the vibrational energy of CO<sub>2</sub> promotes the reaction more efficiently than the translational energy.
