Abstract

三重県伊勢市の層状マンガン鉱床より新鉱物「ランタンフェリ赤坂石」(<i><sup>A</sup></i><sup>1</sup>Ca<i><sup>A</sup></i><sup>2</sup>La<i><sup>M</sup></i><sup>1</sup>Fe<sup>3+<i>M</i>2</sup>Al <i><sup>M</sup></i><sup>3</sup>Mn<sup>2+</sup>(SiO<sub>4</sub>)(Si<sub>2</sub>O<sub>7</sub>)O(OH): IMA2013-126)および「ランタンフェリアンドロス石」(<i><sup>A</sup></i><sup>1</sup>Mn<sup>2+<i>A</i>2</sup>La<i><sup>M</sup></i><sup>1</sup>Fe<sup>3+<i>M</i>2</sup>Al<i><sup>M</sup></i><sup>3</sup>Mn<sup>2+</sup>(SiO<sub>4</sub>)(Si<sub>2</sub>O<sub>7</sub>)O(OH): IMA2013-127)を発見した.いずれも緑簾石族鉱物に属し,その組成はLa, Mn, Feに富む.両種は<i>A</i>1席に卓越する元素(Ca, Mn<sup>2+</sup>)により区別される.結晶化学的検討の結果,新たに(1) <i>A</i>1席におけるMn<sup>2+</sup>含有量の増加に伴うβ-angleの減少, (2)Mn<sup>2+</sup>を含まないものと比べMn<sup>2+</sup>を含む褐簾石族でより顕著な<i>A</i>1-O9の伸長が起こることを明らかにし, <i>A</i>1席中のMn<sup>2+</sup>増加でδ[(<i>A</i>1-O5)-(<i>A</i>1-O6)] (Å)が大きくなることを確認した.

The new rare-earth element-rich monoclinic epidote-supergroup minerals, ferriakasakaite-(La) (ideally, <i><sup>A</sup></i><sup>1</sup>Ca<i><sup>A</sup></i><sup>2</sup>La<i><sup>M</sup></i><sup>1</sup>Fe<sup>3+<i>M</i>2</sup>Al<i><sup>M</sup></i><sup>3</sup>Mn<sup>2+</sup>(SiO<sub>4</sub>)(Si<sub>2</sub>O<sub>7</sub>)O(OH), <i>Z</i> = 2, space group <i>P</i>2<sub>1</sub>/<i>m</i>) and ferriandrosite-(La) (<i><sup>A</sup></i><sup>1</sup>Mn<sup>2+<i>A</i>2</sup>La<i><sup>M</sup></i><sup>1</sup>Fe<sup>3+<i>M</i>2</sup>Al<i><sup>M</sup></i><sup>3</sup>Mn<sup>2+</sup>(SiO<sub>4</sub>)(Si<sub>2</sub>O<sub>7</sub>)O(OH)), found in tephroite and/or calcite veinlets cutting the stratiform ferromanganese deposit from the Shobu area, Ise City, Mie Prefecture, Japan were studied using electron microprobe analysis and single-crystal X-ray diffraction methods. The two new minerals are rather similar but are distinct by the dominant cation, Ca or Mn<sup>2+</sup>, at <i>A</i>1. This study described these new minerals and examined their crystal-chemical features.
