Abstract

短寿命気候汚染物質の一つである黒色炭素BCと,二酸化硫黄SO<sub>2</sub>の排出の増減が,陸域水循環へ与える影響を,陸域オフラインモデルシミュレーションを使って調べた.その結果,(1)BCとSO<sub>2</sub>共に全球降水量を減少させ,BCでは特に流出量減少に効果が出やすいこと,(2)降水量及び流出量の地域分布では減少と増大が入り混じり,その分布はBCとSO<sub>2</sub>で大きく異なること,(3)BC排出を制限することで全球での水資源のストレスが緩和する可能性があること,(4)BCとSO<sub>2</sub>共に排出を抑制しても推進しても洪水暴露人口は増大することが示された.

 In this study, we investigated the impact of black carbon, BC, as one of Short-Lived Climate Pollutants or SLCP on terrestrial water circulation, in addition to that of sulfur dioxide, SO<sub>2</sub>, with the terrestrial offline simulation framework. Results are shown as follows: 1) Both BC and SO<sub>2</sub> decrease the global precipitation whereas decrease in runoff is relatively large with BC. 2) However, spatial distributions of the change in precipitation and runoff are quite patchy and different in BC and SO<sub>2</sub>. 3) Decrease in BC emission would relax the global water stress. 4) No matter decrease or increase, change in BC or SO<sub>2</sub> emission would cuase increase the risk of severe flood exposure.
