Abstract

<p>本研究は,高度な認知作業と特徴づけられる臨床工学業務に着目し,実務における制約を考慮してIEの分析の重要なステップであるタスク記述を実施するための手順を示すことを目的としている.外部から観察可能な作業データである,ビデオデータ,言語プロトコルデータ,および眼球運動データから,タスク記述に必要な情報を読み取り,視覚的に理解が容易な形でタスクの構造が記述される具体的手順について示される.さらにこの記述方法を用いて,臨床現場における透析装置の不具合対処時の技士の行動のタスク記述がされ,この記述を利用した着眼点の導出および解決に向けた対策の導出のための方針およびその試験的な利用例が示される.一連の研究から,臨床工学業務の現場における制約を考慮し,認知的な側面を含む作業において現状把握を行うための手順とその活用方法を構築・適用することを通して,医療におけるIE的な考え方の適用の可能性を示した.</p>

<p>This paper proposes a task description method for diagnostic processes to counteract faults in dialysis machines. Diagnostic processes can be characterized as cognitive tasks where human inner processes as well as motions are of great importance. The task description illustrates task structures in both hierarchal and timeline forms based on observational data from video recordings, verbal protocols and eye movements. Additionally, we show basic ideas that allow us to obtain insights about problematic diagnostic processes and their possible countermeasures based on our task descriptions combined with an expert's mental model regarding faults in dialysis machines.</p><p>We carried out a series of observations where diagnostic processes performed by clinical engineers were observed in a hospital. We obtained the task descriptions of seven clinical engineers applying our task description method. By comparing each task description and an expert's mental model representing his recognition regarding dialysis machine malfunctions, we could obtain implications about some problematic diagnostic processes at the individual engineer level. Based on the results, the feasibility of using our method is discussed.</p>
