Abstract

<p>In Showa University, consisting of the School of Medicine, Dentistry, Pharmacy, Nursing and Rehabilitation Sciences, for the purpose of training of medical stuffs who can contribute positively to the medical team in the hospital and community, systematic and stepwise interprofessional education is introduced with the cooperation of all 4 schools, and through all undergraduate grades. In the lower grades, students study base of medical team care by 4 school joint curriculum of experience learning (such as early exposure), problem-based learning (PBL tutorial), practice for support of home care, and communication with simulated patients. In the upper grades, for the acquisition of practical skills, students study practice of medical team care by joint curriculum of participatory learning in the hospitals and community. Through these curriculums, I expect that the medical stuffs to actively promote patient-centered team medical care in a variety of medical field grows in the future.</p>
