Abstract

In keeping with changes in the social environment, even in basic nursing education, training is deemed necessaryfor human resources to respond appropriately to people living in the community. Accordingly, further educationalimprovement is deemed necessary in home-based nursing theory, based on studies on the contents of practical training at visiting nursing stations, which are central platforms for training. As a preliminary step in studying the contents of the curriculum, this study aimed to elucidate future issues based on the trends of research on practical training at visiting nursing stations. It was observed that while there were many studies on topics such as " what students learned through practical training " , " actual status of assistance provided and nursing skill experienced in practical training " , " practical training methods and student status " , and " degree of satisfaction in practical training " , there were few studies related to practical training management from the training facility / instructor's perspective. The results suggest that, taking into account the changes in the expected role of a visiting nursing station in practical training as a result of societal changes in the future, urgent study is necessary on the detailed contents of support for practical training instructors, such as collaboration between instructors and faculty, and the associated coordination systems.
