Abstract

Abstract
Gold (Au)-modified tantalum(V) oxide (Ta2O5) prepared by using a colloid photodeposition method produced H2 without the aid of a cocatalyst under visible light irradiation due to the sufficiently negative potential of electrons injected from Au nanoparticles into the conduction band of Ta2O5 (−0.47 V).
