抄録

In this rapidly changing world, art education assessment is a cornerstone of envisioning educational reform. Under such circumstances, it is necessary to clarify the entire structure as well as the core parts of contemporary studies. This paper focuses on the current condition of practical studies on art education evaluation conducted in the United States. It will conduct a systematic review of the academic journals Studies in Art Education and Art Education published by the National Art Education Association (NAEP) from 2002 to 2017. <br> The analysis results clearly showed that art education assessment has many political implications, for example, on accountability, standards movement, and NAEP. Also, with regard to research categories, many studies focused on developing alternative art assessment methods, such as digital portfolios, rubrics, and moderation processes. All these are related to the authentic assessment context.
