Abstract

A 70y male underwent right hemicolectomy and colostomy under a diagnosis of ascending colon perforation. He required continuous administration of vasopressin and noradrenaline because of septic shock. The diagnosis was made as anaphylaxis due to platelet transfusion during septic shock treatment. Under the treatment of septic shock by artificial ventilation, it took time to detect clinical symptoms and to diagnose anaphylaxis. Adrenaline was effective for refractory hypotension to vasoactive drugs (noradrenaline, vasopressin).
