Abstract

<p>We have proposed a hybrid aligned nematic (HAN) reverse mode cell with a dual frequency liquid crystal (DFLC). The scattering intensity becomes weak at a certain oblique incident angle. In this study, the cell was fabricated by irradiating with UV light under the voltage application of high (30 kHz) and low (1kHz) frequency. The incident angle can be changed by the curing voltage and frequency. The relation between incident angle and transmittance was theoretically analyzed by estimating indices of LC and RM.</p>
