Abstract

<p>The extent to which visual function affects the competitive performance of baseball players is unclear, and it is uncertain if values measured in the laboratory, such as kinetic visual acuity, are related to competitive performance. In recent years, there has been progress on visual analysis conducted to imitate actual sports scenarios and situations, and differences between athletes and non-athletes are gradually becoming clear. In this paper, we summarize the findings and issues associated with this work, and we provide a general discussion of sport and visual function.</p>
