Abstract

In this study, we focused on "a signboard design" which is essential for sightseeing, and carried out a practical study about a design for pedestrian rambling. The major results are as follows: 1) We conducted a questionnaire survey of brand images of the area. 2) We proposed the design concept using Japanese traditional pattern as a motif based on brand images. 3) We verified the design of the pedestrian rambling through the signboard design, and presented the way of “the design of pedestrian rambling” focused on signboard design as above.
