Abstract
In this article, we overview the current status of graphene-based photonic devices. In the fi rst part, we introduce cutting-edge technologies ranging from visible light to terahertz (THz) light, such as sources, detectors, modulators, and plasmonic devices. The second part explains our frequency-tunable THz and infrared (IR) detectors with graphene. Our experimental results demonstrated that a graphene device under a magnetic fi eld detects THz and IR light in a wide frequency band of 0.76-33 THz and that the detection frequency is tuned by the magnetic fi eld.
