Abstract

<p>Color appearance is a subjective experience. Recent studies have revealed that the color representation beyond cone-opponent system in the early stage of visual system may be the neural basis of color appearance. This manuscript will introduce the recent studies on the cortical color representations. Also, possible site of binding for different visual dimensions in the context of color-grapheme synesthesia will be discussed.</p>
