抄録

Here we present the text of Ekigakukaibutsushōsen-kibun, lecture by Kōgan, a disciple of MINAGAWA Kien, recorded by Ekō and its explanation, following the first volume of our article. In order to describe the phonetic sounds of Chinese characters, Kien developed a method called “onkichūshokuzu”, which does not use the traditional Fanqie or Rime table. In addition to the phonetic symbolic representation of Chinese character sounds, it has a complex structure based on Kien’s Yijing theory. The Ekigakukaibutsushōsen-kibun provides a clue to understand “onkichūshokuzu”. In this paper, we will explain this unique phonetic symbol using the “Ekigakukaibutsushōsen- kibun” as a guide.
