Abstract

A stream of quantitative innovation researches indicates a diversification of their data source. This paper reviews a trend of such unique data-driven researches published in major academic peer-reviewed journals. We identify three interesting trends: text data-based innovation measurement, user-generated contents analysis and new inter-actor relationship measurement. The paper also discusses the potentials and limitations of the trends for the future researches.
