Abstract

The motivation for this research is the theorizing of forest landscapes that incorporates the perspectives of the spatial and the time axis. As a method, we assume an urban corridor and model it with a cross-sectional view. We obtain three indexes of 1) a viewing angle include a planned greenbelt, 2) a viewable angle containing greenery, 3) a viewable range of greenery, and constructed a formula to evaluate the landscape of the natural forested area in general. As a result, firstly, a viewing angle and a viewable angle of greenery is paradoxical in many situations. Secondly, By examining the corridor vertically (by drone, elevator, et al.), we clarify dramatic angle changes, nevertheless the view appears stable and static while on the elevated (10m) horizontal moving. Thirdly, it was shown that the equilibrium collapses in both a viewing angle and a viewable angle of greenery due to the perpetual growth of the trees.
