Abstract

We hypothesized that college students who exhibit higher levels of empathetic internet usage frequency tending to encourage each other have a higher resilience. Longitudinal data collected by questionnaire surveys of university students including survey items such as empathy, Internet addiction tendency and SNS tired were analyzed by structural equation modeling, and the results appeared to support our hypothesis. In order to improve this resilience in the current information society, it is effective to have the empathetic internet usage tending to encourage each other moderately so that it does not become overuse such as Internet addiction tendency or SNS tired.
