抄録

<jats:title>Abstract</jats:title> <jats:p>Immobilization of phosphotungstate ([PW12O40]3−) in the interlayer space of a Mg-Al layered double hydroxide (LDH) resulted in an absorption edge at ∼350 nm, different from the pristine LDH or the POM (either in aqueous solution or in the solid state). The obtained hybrid showed enhanced photocatalytic activity for water oxidation in the presence of Ag+ as an electron acceptor.</jats:p>
