Abstract

本稿は、「上田貞治郎日本全国名所写真帖」コレクションのデータベース化を通じ、写真史料学のためのデータベース手法のあり方を提案するものである。上田貞治郎(1860－1944)は、20世紀前半期屈指の写真材料商であり、(古)写真コレクターであった。彼は蒐集した写真群をアルバム20巻に編修した。本データベースは、このアルバム20巻を、史料学的視角からデジタル化したものである。フォンド－アルバム群－アルバムーページ－写真プリントという構造のもとにデータベース化を行うことにより、写真史料を構造的に理解する仕組みを作成した。またメタデータの検討によって、映像の比較・照合の仕組みを検討した。データベースによって、写真の流通や、アルバムの理解の方法、そして、史料群全体の理解の方法など写真史料学の寄与への可能性を検討する。

In this paper, the research of "Ueda Teijiro Nihon Zenkoku Meisho Shasin-cho"(Ueda Teijiro the photograph Album the sights of JAPAN) Database. Ueda Teijiro ( 1860-1944 ) was photographic supplies dealer, also was a collector. He edited the photograph group which he collected in 20 albums. This database digitized these 20 albums from the visual angle of the historical materials studies. We made the structure(Fonds – Aibumgroups – Album - Pages) which understood photograph historical materials structurally by compiling it into a database with structure called the photograph print. In addition, by the examination of metadata, We examined structure of comparison / the collation of the picture. By this database, the circulation of the photograph and a method of the understanding of the album and a method of the understanding of the whole historical materials group examine possibility to the contribution of photograph historical materials studies.
