In this paper, we consider a population of players that are heterogeneous with respect to periodic participations in a repeated minority game. Using agent-based simulations for various memory sizes of players and for various number of players, we investigate those effects on decision making of players. Analyses of simulation results reveal that the following two facts about the performance of long-term players. (1) The smaller the memory size of players, the larger the benefit of the long-term players. (2) The larger the number of players in a game, more advantageous long-term players receive. Moreover, population size effects even work for long-term players when a population of players are heterogeneous not only in their periodic participations but also memory sizes.
