私たちが認知する視覚世界は,網膜像のみによって決まるのではない.例えば視覚刺激と同時に他の感覚刺激が与え られると,視知覚はその影響を受ける場合がある.本研究では,腕の能動運動,あるいは受動運動が視知覚に及ぼす 影響を調べた.

Visual perception does not depend on only retinal information. An auditory or vestibular cue may affect visual perception. This study investigated if observer’s manual control for the stimulus change removes ambiguity of kinetic depth effect.
