抄録

Expectant brccding swine weighing 100-120kg died suddenly. Autopsy revealed that they were suffering from fibrinous pleuropneumonia caused by infection withHaemophilus parahaemolyticus. SPF swine on an infection experiment manifested the same symptomes and postmortem changes as the clinical cases. The isolated organism was shown to be highly susceptible to aminobenzyl penicillin, chloramphenicol, erythromycin, oxytetracycline, tetracycline, furazolidon, and nitrofuarntoin.
