抄録

近年の中国では東部沿岸地域の経済成長が著しい．内陸地域では経済成長が遅れており，沿海地域との格差は拡大している．本稿では，内陸地域に位置する山西省において，自然的・人文的資源の分布と特徴を考察している．とくに，山西省は鉱産資源に富んでおり，中でも石炭資源が豊富である．炭田は山西省内に多く存在するが，開発上の問題や公害の発生もみられる．さらに，人文的観光資源も富んでいる．山西省は山地景観に優れ，また古代寺院や古代芸術遺跡なども数多く分布してしている．

In recent years, the economic condition in eastern China develops rapidly. Whereas in the inland region, it lags behind and has a wider gap with the eastern part. This paper mainly deals with the distribution and characters of natural and human resources in Shanxi Province. This region is rich in mineral resources, especially coal. But in the exploitation of coal deposits, serious environmental pollution and waste of resources occur. On the other hand, Shanxi Province has many natural and tourist resources, such as the famous natural landscape. ancient monasteries, ancient arts and historic relics.
