We investigated the radiation dose rate in the air above grasslands and the contents of radionuclides in the environmental samples (soil, grass, feed, cow's milk) in Soya-Rumoi region from the year 2006 to 2008. The following was the result obtained regarding the local feature of environmental levels of the radioactivity. 1. The radiation dose rate in the air was ranged from 20 nGy/h to 55 nGy/h above the grasslands. 2. 137Cs contents were ranged from ND to 0.62 kBq/m2 at depth of 0-5 cm, and from ND to 2.85 kBq/m2 at depth of 5-20 cm in soil samples. 3. 137Cs contents were ranged from ND to 0.794 Bq/kg, and 90Sr were ranged from 0.094 Bq/kg to 0.216 Bq/kg in grass samples. 4. 137Cs contents were ranged from ND to 0.133 Bq/kg, and 90Sr were ranged from 0.295 Bq/kg to 0.728 Bq/kg in feed samples. 5. 137Cs contents were ranged from ND to 0.151 Bq/L, and 90Sr were ranged from 0.022 Bq/L to 0.037 Bq/L in cow's milk samples.All these levels were within ordinary ranges.
