Abstract

In Japan, it becomes so important for mental health service in university setting. The purpose of his study was to create a model of counseling center development in university. 10 case studies of development for organization and system of student counseling in university were analyzed by KJ method, a kind of qualitative study created in Japan. Two flow chart processes, one was the process of birth to grow of student counseling center, and another process was the development of system and instruction of counseling center. The process of birth to grow of student counseling center was constructed by the factors, preparation for opening of counseling center in university, PR, budgets, self-evaluation, extension of rolls of counseling center, satisfied by staffs. The factors of the development for instruction of counseling center was to design of institutional arrangements, to share with mission of counseling center in university community. These hypothec model for development of counseling center is helpful for understand the phases or steps of development, and useful for self-evaluation for counseling centers.
