Abstract
In this study, the setting of vehicle class toll of urban expressway was examined including the user benefit and the environmental effect. The results are shown in the follows. 1) It was proven that the total travel time of the expressway decreased, as toll rises, and the total travel time in arterial road and the average travel distance of the expressway increase. 2) The effect of the vehicle class toll setting on global environment and regional environment was estimated. As the result, the CO2 emission was minimized by the case in which total travel time was smallest. It was proven that link number which does not satisfy the standard by the case in which the toll of large vehicle is low tended to increase the NOx emission. 3) It was proven that large change did not appear in comparison with the case in which the environmental effect is not considered in all benefit amounts, when the benefit considering the environmental effect was estimated.
