In 2019, a large amount of Cupressaceae pollen was dispersed and we investigated the implementation of prophylactic treatment and the severity of allergic symptoms between patients registered to receive Cupressaceae pollen dispersal data via email and non-registered patients. Moreover, we investigated patient satisfaction (self-management and the support of medical treatment for pollinosis) before and after registration via a questionnaire. The rating of allergic symptom severity was higher in the registered group than in the non-registered group. In particular, the highest rating was given by the registered and prophylactic group, followed by the registered and non-prophylactic group, non-registered and prophylactic group, and non-registered and non-prophylactic group. Furthermore, patient satisfaction was higher after registration than before registration. It is considered that the delivery of data via e-mail on the dispersal of Cupressaceae pollen increased the awareness among patients to avoid pollen. In addition, the delivery of data was believed to improve patient satisfaction even in a year during which a large amount of Cupressaceae pollen was dispersed.
