Description
Our understanding of the workings of the nervous system is substantial but incomplete. Neurophysiologists have directed much effort towards study of the 'vertebrate nervous system', and there has been a growth in the parallel study of invertebrates, from which vertebrates are almost certainly descended. This book describes our current understanding of behavioural control mechanisms in 'simple' invertebrates other than arthropods, annelids, and molluscs.
